Hello ,
Despite the fires, the never ending heatwaves, the floods, the mosquito infestations, you have made it through the summer, which has been dramatic in so many ways. Most of these events are simply poor adaptations to the new world you are starting to experience.
Unless you're a disciple of Trump or Bolsonaro, you know full well that you have to act. Adapting and improving the resilience of your territory are no longer options, they are priorities to actiond as quickly as possible. But how? And with whom to start?
Réaction Commune, an association driven by Circulab and others to initiate territorial resilience,
has created a card game to answer these two questions: "Apéro entre voisins".
Through this game, you'll be able to ask yourself key questions with the people closest to you in the event of a problem, and above all you'll be able to draw up joint action plans. From where I sit, September 2033, I can guarantee that this game has had a considerable impact on resilience in neighborhoods and villages, but in September 2023, the association is still looking for volunteers to test the game.
If you'd like to be one of them, reply to this e-mail and the Circulab team will send you the game (2023 version) so you can be one of the testers.
Joséphine since 2033

Risks, resilience, regeneration
Last spring the Climate Collage announced reaching 1 million people worldwide trained to climate challenges through their workshops. As the organisation's leaders say themselves, this is a lot and not that much at the same time, considering the hardship of the task that lies ahead.
Indeed, we are at a point where an increasing number of people begin to understand the risks and why they need to change, but don't
yet know how to start the transformation.
Moving away from a classic risk management to approaching your organisation's resilience in a systemic way might be one (solid) way to start.

🇵🇪 🇦🇷 Circular economy in Peru and Argentina
With the support of Circulab's Latin American community, Circulab participated in a series of events in Peru and Argentina, to make a case for circular economy and build bridges between the transformations and challenges in our respective countries.
The conference "Circular economy: trends and challenges" at Universidad del Pacifico in Lima brought together Jesús Salazar Nishi, president of the National Society of Industries, Tatiana García Alfaro, representative for environment and climate change of the European Union in Peru, and Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, leader of the Global Climate & Energy Practice at WWF, all moderated by UP's professor and Circulab community member Jorge Ueyonahara.
With support of Circulab community member Universidad Cientifica del Sur, Justine Laurent also gave a
talk at Jokey Plaza in Lima, a shopping center among the first locally to experiment the return flow and upcycling of clothes.
A workshop on circular business models in Mendoza, Argentina, in partnership with Circulab community member Andrea Nallim, concluded the visit.
