Acting now for the long-term

the ginkgo biloba

Hello ,

How do you cope when everything around you is falling apart?

A few months after the atomic bomb exploded in Hiroshima, locals realized that a tree located less than a kilometer from the hypocenter had survived. This tree is the ginkgo biloba. Known for its slow growth, the ginkgo biloba not only managed to survive a nuclear explosion but also various ice ages.

Appearing 270 million years ago, there are over 100 specimens that have been around for more than 1,000 years, some even up to 3,500 years.

How does a living being that stays in the same place all its life manage to survive such extreme events?

Probably by cultivating a diversity of food sources and interactions with other living beings. Diversity is one of the five pillars of resilience that you can learn about in our new course : Develop a Sustainable, Circular and Resilient Business.

Since 2034, I send you lots of hope in your search for resilience, whether on a personal scale or within the groups you are part of.
